The cooperation between CNR-IIA and D-Orbit stems from the desire to promote the development of experiments in space and technology transfer and to implement space missions and provides for communication and dissemination activities such as webinars and seminars. Public competitions will also be organized for research institutes, universities, start-ups and companies but also for schools in order to “Teach space” (this is the name of the initiative) to the little ones.

As part of this cooperation, on May 25, 2022, together with the Brown University School of Engineering, the SBUDNIC satellite mission started with the launch of a 3U CubeSat from Cape Canaveral, on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, released into orbit from the satellite platform.
