From 10th to 16th December a team of researchers from the National Research Council is visiting Taiwan as part of the project collaboration bilateral Italy-Taiwan dedicated to the studio of ecosystems mountain and to the preservation of the biodiversity.
The delegation is composed of experts from two departments, Cnr-Dsu and Cnr-Dsstta, and four institutions of research: theInstitute on Air Pollution (Cnr-Iia) Institute of geosciences and georesources (Cnr-Igg) Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Institute (CNR-Iret) andResearch Institute on Sustainable Economic Growth (Cnr-IRCrES).
The project aims to promote a partnerships di lungo period for to study le dynamics EVOLUTION of different ecosystems mountain located in Europe and Asia, influenced by external pressures of varying intensity, both anthropogenic and climatic. The objective is evaluate as the community local let's stay adapting ai changes climate and identify strategy di mitigation innovative to increase their resilience, with particular attention to protection of biodiversity.
The initiative adopts a perspective transdisciplinary which integrates natural and social sciences, also involving local stakeholders and territorial communities, to investigate the co-production of solutions innovative and recommendations for policy makers. Among the planned activities are a visit to a tea plantation and a visit to the Xitou Nature Education Area. CNR researchers will also visit the Department di Geography ofUniversity di Taiwan for a meeting with students and professors. Also scheduled is a workshop atUniversity di Pinging at Department di Science Forestry on the measures of flows di carbon of net Asia Flux.
The mission represents an important occasione di swap scientific and reinforcement of cooperation international on topics of significant interest such as the protection of biodiversity, restoration of the services ecosystemic , sustainability with community mountainous.
