Press review of MobilitAria 2021

On Thursday 29 April, the National Research Council's Institute on Atmospheric Pollution (CNR-IIA) and the Kyoto Club will present in live streaming, as part of the Key Energy Digital Green Weeks, the “MobilitAria 2021” Report.

The annual report, now in its fourth edition, outlines an overall picture on the trend of air quality and urban mobility policies in the main Italian cities in the period 2020-2021.

The 2021 edition takes stock of the mobility measures at the time of the pandemic in the 14 large cities and metropolitan areas in 2020, what were the effects on air quality during the restrictions due to the measures related to covid19 and what were the measures extraordinary hired by cities to deal with the movements of citizens and townspeople.

To this in-depth analysis is added the novelty of the IV Report 2021: the analysis of the Urban Sustainable Mobility Plans approved by the Italian medium-sized cities and the air quality in these urban areas. There are 22 medium-sized Italian cities that have approved the PUMS and are implementing it, with interesting solutions and many skills to move towards sustainable mobility. Among these we find Brescia, Syracuse, Parma, Prato, Arezzo, Lucca, Taranto, Pordenone, La Spezia, Terni and Narni, Foggia, Agrigento, Mantua just to name a few that will be detailed in the Mobilitaria 2021 report.

Finally, the "MobilitAria 2021" study will analyze the measures contained in the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan to outline the sector's prospects, underline the critical points and shortcomings and reflect whether the document can lay the foundations for decarbonisation and the ecological transition of mobility in Italian cities.

The event, which will be held as part of the Key Energy Digital Green Weeks, involves the collaboration of the European Clean Cities Campaign and the All 4 Climate program of the Ministry of the Environment.

The presentation will be broadcast from 9,30 to 12,30 in live streaming.
