The PEGASUS project will be carried out by CNR-IIA in collaboration with AzzeroCo2, as part of the POR FESR-FSE Calabria 2014-2020 call, Action 1.3.2 "Support for the generation of innovative solutions to specific problems of social relevance, also through 'use of open innovation environments such as living labs ”. It is planned to carry out an intervention to remove an asbestos-cement surface which will be replaced by a new roof equipped with a photovoltaic system in the city of Catanzaro.

The project will make it possible to offer an innovative solution to a specific problem of great social importance. The primary objective is to demonstrate the possibility of creating an SEU (Efficient User System) consisting of public and private users, i.e. a widespread network of 1 to 1 connections on the territory for the exchange of energy that is economically advantageous for the supply chain. local.

The possible reuse of inerted asbestos cement within a local chain of cement factories will also be evaluated through laboratory tests. At the same time, the environmental and energy benefits of a future HUS-based network in the city of Catanzaro will be assessed.

In order to involve citizens, a communication campaign will be carried out to disseminate the model, making known the methods of implementation of the incentive mechanism for the removal of asbestos cement surfaces and the related environmental benefits.
