On Wednesday 18 May 2016 at 9:30 am in the Sala Inguscio of the Basilicata Region, a study day will be held dedicated to the National Project IFFI (Inventory of Italian landslide phenomena) of the ISPRA, in which the State of the art in Italy and Basilicata and the results of the study and research project on the "Monitoring and census of landslide areas in Basilicata and aimed at updating and completing the National IFFI Project and defining forecast climate models on extreme events and relations with the regional landslide ", created and co-financed by the Basilicata Region Department of Environment and Territory Infrastructures OO.PP. and Transport (Responsible for the Region Dr. B. Anzidei, Office), CNR IBAM of Potenza (Responsible for Scient. Dr. M. Lazzari) and CNR IIA of Monterotondo (Resp. Scient. Dr. A. Pasini).

The study was carried out in two distinct phases, the first between 2008 and 2010 and the second between 2011 and 2014, with the primary objective of completing the census of landslides of the entire regional territory in the context of the IFFI Project, in addition to the definition of forecast climate models on extreme events in relation to regional landslides. The repercussions on the regional territory will be multiple, both in terms of urban and structural planning, as well as landscape, and in terms of emergency planning. At the end of the project, the products were shared with the Basin Authorities of Ofanto, Sele and the Interregional of Basilicata, as well as with the two Lucanian Provinces.

1. On the number and areal distribution of classified and georeferenced landslides,

2. On the interaction of the same with the historical-architectural heritage, surveyed and georeferenced,

3. On the historical climatic analysis of all the thermo-pluviometric series available.

In the presence of the President of ISPRA Ing. B. De Bernardinis, the Head of the National IFFI Project Dr. A. Trigila (ISPRA) and the Directors of the CNR Institutes involved (Dr. Nicola Pirrone, IIA and Dr. Daniele Malfitana IBAM), the results of the monitoring activities carried out during the last phase of the project with innovative and experimental techniques in different sites of Basilicata, appropriately selected, will also be presented.
