Circular Economy Working Group

The Working Group (WG) within the IIA in the field of circular economy was established by Decree of the Director of the Institute (Eng. Francesco Petracchini), n. 003591 of 11/10/2021. The WG has the main purpose of implementing and coordinating the numerous activities, relating to the various lines of research of the Institute, aimed at promoting the circular economy in the national system and at the ecological transition of the current production and consumption processes, to provide a representation valid and complete.

• Drafting of publications and drafting of research projects, with the support of the WG IIA Design, to obtain regional, national and European funding (particular importance is given to the promotion of technologies and know-how present at the IIA, specifically aimed at the re-evaluation of waste of agri-food origin) (particular attention is paid to research activities in the field of innovative design throughecodesign of products and the exploitation of biological waste);
• Study and design of circularity indicators and solutions aimed at waste prevention;
• Enlargement and strengthening network corporate and institutional collaborations;
• Dissemination and training in school, university and ed company, with the support of the IIA WGs for the Disclosure and the Technology transfer.
