On Monday 30 October 2023, researchers, technologists, technicians and administrators, but also collaborators, research fellows, doctoral students, scholarship holders, thesis holders and friends of the CNR-IIA gathered together to celebrate the 55th birthday of the CNR's Air Pollution Institute.

The Institute, founded in the 1968 da Arnaldo Liberti, immediately focused its mission on the development of innovative methods and technologies for determining the concentrations of organic and inorganic pollutants present in the atmosphere.

It was a day of celebration, with memorable moments in which the staff who made the history of the Institute offered memories and anecdotes of a 55-year long journey, still to be written.

During the day, also a moment of Science and Art, in which the author and writer Luca Manzi, accompanied by training jazz “Alessandra D'Alessandro Trio”, he performed in a reading on the topic “The sacredness of air and nature through the glories of the past”.

Finally, the presentation of photo book and digital panels by title: "IIA: 55 years for research".
