Collaboration agreement between the Ministry of the Environment and the Protection of the Territory and the Sea and the CNR - IIA, aimed at transferring the technical and scientific knowledge of interest to the Directorate General SVI matured by the CNR, as a research body

Introduction

The Agreement is configured as a collaboration between Public Administrations, pursuant to article 15 of the law of 7 August 1990, n. 241, and arises from the need to ensure the performance of activities of common interest with the Institute's qualified and highly professional technical scientific personnel through the transfer and application of technical-scientific knowledge, as well as the skills acquired over the years by different professionals.

Description

Thanks to the presence of its researchers and technologists in national and international networks of excellence, the Institute collaborates with the Ministry of the Environment for activities of common interest through:

  • the transfer of technical-scientific knowledge in the analysis of technical documents and in the preparation of negotiation dossiers;
  • the use of research results to define the Italian position in the European Commission and the EU Council and internationally in the G7 and G20;
  • participation in the Conferences of the Parties, the meetings of the subsidiary bodies and technical groups of the United Nations Convention on Climate Change and the Vienna Convention and the Montreal Protocol on substances that deteriorate the ozone layer, with related community coordination;
  • participation in conferences, workshops and seminars.

Aims

The CNR staff collaborates with the MATTM on activities of common interest envisaged in the following areas:

  • Arctic;
  • GEO (Group on Earth Observations);
  • Interconnection between air pollution, research, development and transfer of green technologies;

Vienna Convention and Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deteriorate the Ozone Layer.

 

CNR-IIA activity description

The collaboration with the MATTM includes:

  • the transfer of technical-scientific knowledge in the analysis of technical and negotiation documents;
  • the use of the research results to define the Italian position in the European Commission and the EU Council and internationally in the G7 and G20;
  • the preparation of negotiation dossiers;
  • participation, where required, in the Conferences of the Parties, in the meetings of the subsidiary bodies and the technical groups of the UN and UNEP Conventions, with related community coordination;
  • participation, where required, in conferences, workshops and seminars;

the elaboration of administrative documents and the identification of "open data" for the MATTM website.
